About the Peninsula Potters

For generations, the Blue Hill Peninsula in Penobscot Bay has been home to an active fishing and boat building community, and is a beloved destination for summer visitors, sailors, writers, musicians, and artists. The Peninsula Potters is a loosely knit group of potters and clay artists who have settled and established working studios in the area. We have been drawn here by the beauty of the surrounding landscape and by the creative spirit of its inhabitants, and feel privileged to live near The Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, on Deer Isle, whose multifaceted summer program provides us with another source of inspiration and community.

We encourage you to experience, year ’round, the breathtaking scenery, art and music events, and great food of this region. While exploring, please visit the diverse studios and galleries of the Peninsula Potters. Most of us are open to the public throughout the year or by appointment. Please check individual websites found in the listings below.
