About the Peninsula Potters

The Peninsula Pottersis a guild of nationally recognized and emerging artists who have settled in the Penobscot Bay area and established working studios. For generations this has been an active fishing community as well as much loved vacation destination. We have been drawn here by the beauty of the surrounding land and seascapes and the creative spirit of its inhabitants.

This area is also famous as the home of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, a preeminent craft school known worldwide. Many of us have connections to the school over the years and can attribute part of our presence here to Haystack.

We encourage you to experience our diverse studio and gallery steeings and invite you to join us for our Annual Peninsula Potters Studio Tour & Sale September 10 & 11, 2011, Saturday through Sunday, 10am to 5pm, with kiln openings, new work, and guest artists.

Most studios and galleries are open to the public throughout the year or by appointment.
Please check individual websites found in the listings below.
